Blizzard is putting the Pouch of Violet Dust toy on WoW Forever servers through a limited Twitch drop window. The campaign runs from November 4 at 4:30 pm PST to November 12 at 4:30 pm PST. Players who want it need to watch eligible World of Warcraft streams on Twitch and link Battle.net first.
The reward is a launch-celebration item, not a permanent giveaway. It can only be used during the World of Warcraft: Forever Launch Celebration, and that event period ends in early December.
Pouch of Violet Dust on Twitch
The drop asks for four hours of eligible World of Warcraft content while Drops are active on Twitch. Players can earn progress on any eligible channel in the World of Warcraft category. They can switch channels without losing progress.
That setup is straightforward, but it is not automatic. Players must link their Twitch account through Battle.net, and if they have changed a password or adjusted either account, they must relink before claiming the reward.
Battle.net and Drops Inventory
After claiming a Twitch Drop, players should log into the Battle.net region where they want the item delivered. The first region they log into gets the reward. Delivery can take up to 24 hours.
Twitch Drop rewards must be claimed on the channel being watched or in the Drops Inventory menu on Twitch. Earned Twitch Drop rewards expire seven days after they have been claimed if a Battle.net account has not been linked correctly.
World of Warcraft: Forever Launch Celebration
The toy itself changes campfire behavior. It turns a campfire purple and extends all camp benefits by 1 hour for a total of a 2-hour duration. The benefit is shared with other players resting at the Camp once it is activated.
The catch is the same one Blizzard set at the start. After early December, the toy will be removed from players’ collections and will no longer be available in game, so anyone who wants it has a short window to earn it instead of waiting for a later drop.
