Situated on the stunning Matapalo Beach, the Riu Guanacaste first opened its doors in 2009, marking RIU’s inaugural venture in Costa Rica. Following this, the Riu Palace Costa Rica was launched in 2012.

The influx of family-oriented amenities includes a revamped RIU Land children’s area. Guests can also enjoy the Splash Water World water park, along with RIU Party events that feature weekly themed parties for visitors staying at both RIU properties in the area.
