Devon Witherspoon, Julian Love, DeMarcus Lawrence Skip Practice Again

The Seattle Seahawks entered Week 6 without several key players due to injuries. The team’s practice on Wednesday was notably impacted, as cornerback Devon Witherspoon, outside linebacker DeMarcus Lawrence, and safety Julian Love all missed the session. Each of these players did not participate following their absence in the recent game against the Buccaneers.
Injury Updates and Player Status
In addition to Witherspoon, Lawrence, and Love, outside linebacker Derick Hall also sat out due to an oblique injury suffered during the last game. The Seahawks reported the injuries of other players who missed practice, including:
- Linebacker Ernest Jones IV (shoulder)
- Offensive tackle Josh Jones (ankle)
- Defensive tackle Jarran Reed (rest)
Head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed that Hall and Jones will not participate in the upcoming game on Sunday. The availability of Lawrence, Love, and Witherspoon remains uncertain and will be assessed as the week progresses.
Limited Participation
Cornerback Riq Woolen showed some progress by participating in practice on a limited basis as he continues to recover from a concussion. Additionally, rookie safety Nick Emmanwori is also dealing with an ankle injury, but he was able to take part in limited drills.
The Seahawks are actively monitoring their injured players ahead of the next match, as every player’s condition will significantly impact their performance on game day.
