2026 WeatherTech Series Unveils Entry List – Sportscar365

The IMSA has officially released the entry list for the 2026 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, showcasing a competitive lineup for the upcoming season. The list currently contains 45 full-season entries, alongside nine additional vehicles poised to compete in the Michelin Endurance Cup series, which comprises five events. The announcement was made during the ‘State of the Sport’ meeting at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

2026 WeatherTech Championship Entry Overview

While the entry list includes confirmed participants, it lacks specific manufacturer designations for several teams in the GTD Pro and GTD classes, as they are still finalizing agreements. Further entries are anticipated, especially for the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, which is projected to feature over 60 cars.

Key Changes in Entries

Significant adjustments have been made to the GTP field. The factory BMW M Hybrid V8s will now be managed by Team WRT over the full season. Proton Competition, which recently missed two Endurance Cup rounds, is not included in this year’s roster.
