Separately, another outage began at 4:34 a.m. affecting 317 customers. This incident was linked to a downed tree that fell on hydro wires, disrupting power supply in parts of Chilliwack Mountain and Squiaala First Nation.
BC Hydro anticipates that customers impacted by this second outage may have their power restored by 11 a.m. on the same day, according to the utility’s online updates.
