Enhance Your Skills with Pokémon GO’s Improved Leveling System
Exciting changes are coming to Pokémon GO, starting October 15, 2025. The level cap will rise from 50 to 80, allowing Trainers to enhance their gameplay. With the new leveling system, players will have more opportunities to level up and earn rewards.
New Leveling System Features
Under the updated system, all Trainers at level 23 or above will advance by at least one level. The requirements for gaining experience points (XP) may also be adjusted.
Level-Up Research Changes
The Level-Up Research tasks associated with levels 41 to 50 will be replaced by new tasks for levels 71 to 80.
Lucky Friends and XP Requirements
Once Trainers reach level 70 or above, they will have an increased chance of becoming Lucky Friends after achieving Best Friends status. Here are the new XP requirements for reaching each level:

Avatar Rewards and Other Benefits
From level 25 onwards, Trainers can earn stylish avatar rewards when reaching certain milestones. These rewards are automatically granted to Trainers who have already surpassed these levels:
- Level 25: Poké Ball Cap
- Level 30: Poké Ball Shoes
- Level 35: Poké Ball Jacket
- Level 40: Great Ball Cap
- Level 45: Great Ball Shoes
- Level 50: Great Ball Jacket
- Level 55: Ultra Ball Cap
- Level 60: Ultra Ball Shoes
- Level 65: Ultra Ball Jacket
- Level 71: Level 71 Shoes
- Level 73: Level 73 Shades
- Level 75: Level 75 Pants
- Level 77: Level 77 Pose
- Level 79: Level 79 Hairstyle (Short & Long)
- Level 80: Level 80 Jacket
Additionally, leveling up will grant increased storage for Pokémon, items, Gifts, and Postcards. Trainers logging in daily from level 15 will also receive a Daily Adventure Egg in a special Incubator. After covering 1 km, this egg will hatch, awarding the Trainer with 10,000 XP. Keep in mind that only one Daily Adventure Egg can be active at a time.
