Barbie Ferreira Reacts to Stunning VS Fashion Show Look in Euphoria Interview
Barbie Ferreira expressed her excitement for the upcoming 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, taking place in Brooklyn, New York. The former Euphoria actress spoke about her unique experience before her runway appearance on October 15.
Barbie Ferreira’s Fashion Show Experience
Ferreira described her feelings leading up to the show as a “pinch me” moment. She shared, “I kind of feel like I have entered a different dimension,” highlighting the surreal nature of her experience.
Regarding her runway outfit, she teased it would be “so cute,” reflecting on her surprise upon seeing the final look. Ferreira humorously admitted that she wondered if she would be wearing underwear. To her delight, she indeed was.
Confidence on the Runway
The actress showcased her curves confidently in sexy lingerie. When asked about this, she cheekily stated, “Let Jesus take the wheel.” Ferreira’s modeling journey includes prior experience, having walked in a California State University show around a decade ago.
“This is my second runway,” she noted, crediting her friend Mark Sebastian for helping refine her walk in Los Angeles. With ample practice, she expressed that modeling is a unique complement to her acting career.
Reflection on Euphoria
Ferreira gained fame playing Kat Hernandez on HBO’s Euphoria, where her character challenged fashion norms with bold looks. Despite parting ways with the show after two seasons, Ferreira is eager to watch the anticipated third season, set to premiere in 2026.
She remains in contact with her co-stars, having recently met with Maude Apatow and Sydney Sweeney during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Deciding to Leave Euphoria
In April 2023, Ferreira discussed her decision to exit Euphoria on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast. She expressed concern that her character had limited potential for growth, stating, “I don’t think there was a place for her to go.”
Ferreira aimed to avoid being characterized solely as “the fat best friend.” She and the show’s creator, Sam Levinson, struggled to find a suitable direction for her character, leading her to leave the series while still on a high note.
