Secret Service Finds Hunting Stand Overlooking Trump’s Air Force One Exit in Florida

The U.S. Secret Service recently uncovered a hunting stand positioned near Palm Beach International Airport, which has a direct view of where former President Donald Trump exits Air Force One. This discovery was confirmed by the agency on a Sunday, following its announcement on Thursday. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now overseeing the inquiry into this concerning situation.

Details of the Discovery

Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, emphasized that the agency is collaborating closely with the FBI and local law enforcement in Palm Beach County. He noted that the suspicious object was identified during security preparations for Trump’s arrival in Palm Beach, which involved thorough technological assessments and physical sweeps of the area.

Despite the alarming find, Guglielmi assured that “there was no impact to any movements and no individuals were present or involved at the location.” Fox News was the first to report the incident.

Trump’s Florida Visit

Trump traveled to Florida on a Friday, where he is expected to spend the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago resort, a location he frequently visits for leisure activities such as golf. His visits, however, have drawn attention given the multiple threats he has faced over the years.

Recent Threats and Assassination Attempts

  • Trump has encountered various threats since the start of his campaign.
  • Two notable assassination attempts occurred in the previous year.
    • In July, a shooting incident during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, resulted in the death of 20-year-old Thomas Crooks.
    • In September, a man named Ryan Routh attempted an attack while Trump was golfing in West Palm Beach. Routh was arrested before he could act.

Following these events, a jury has declared Routh guilty of his attempt on Trump’s life, and he is set to face sentencing in December. The Pennsylvania shooting also left two other individuals injured alongside Crooks.

Additional Threats to Trump

  • Earlier this year, police in West Palm Beach apprehended a 46-year-old man for threats made on social media against Trump.
  • A Wisconsin man was arrested for trying to forge threats against Trump while aiming to frame another individual.

The Secret Service continues to implement stringent security measures in response to these threats. The recent discovery of the hunting stand underscores the ongoing vigilance necessary to ensure the safety of public figures like Trump.
