Details of the Service Disruption

  • Disruption Dates: Buses will operate in place of trains on the following dates:
    • November 15 and 16: Between Bournemouth and Dorchester South
    • November 17 to 21: Between Poole and Dorchester South

Mark Goodall, Wessex route director, expressed regret for the inconvenience to passengers, stating that the maintenance is critical for a safe and reliable rail service. Network Rail is committed to ensuring the long-term stability of the railway infrastructure.

Impact on Passengers

Passengers are advised to check their travel plans and allow extra time for their journeys during these dates. The use of buses instead of trains can lead to changes in travel times, and users may need to adjust their schedules accordingly.
