A Wyandotte resident recently made headlines after winning a significant Powerball prize using numbers suggested by artificial intelligence. Tammy Carvey, aged 45, matched four white balls alongside the Powerball in the drawing conducted on September 6.

Carvey’s ticket earned her a $50,000 prize. Since she included the Power Play multiplier, her total winnings doubled to $100,000. “I only play Powerball when the jackpot reaches impressive figures, and at the time, it was over $1 billion,” she explained to the press. She requested Powerball numbers from ChatGPT, an AI tool developed by OpenAI, and used those numbers on her ticket. The results stunned both her and her husband.
