Maitreyi had originally applied to the theatre program at York University. However, after her early success with “Never Have I Ever,” she decided to transition to a field that resonated more with her passion for social justice. She describes this degree as a lifelong interest.

This week, Ramkrishnan announced her graduation on Instagram, sharing a celebratory post. Maitreyi’s character in “Never Have I Ever” was introduced as a 15-year-old high school student.
The show began streaming on Netflix in 2020 and concluded its fourth season recently.
Ramkrishnan has also appeared in Disney’s “Freaky Friday” sequel and voiced a character in Netflix’s animated film “The Twits.”
