Ford Field Announces 2026 Foo Fighters Concert on Social Media

Ford Field in Detroit has officially announced a highly anticipated Foo Fighters concert scheduled for August 6, 2026. The announcement came through a brief social media clip shared by both Ford Field and Live Nation Michigan.

Exciting Announcement from Ford Field

The 15-second video posted on social media features a dimly lit garage where a Ford Mustang and an empty drum kit are showcased. Accompanied by riffs from the band’s iconic song “Everlong,” the video concludes with the date “Ford Field 08.06.26” prominently displayed on the screen.

Foo Fighters Tour and Teasers

In addition to the concert announcement, there are hints of an upcoming Foo Fighters tour. Earlier on the same day, a separate social media post featured a large white LED cube adorned with the band’s logo, seen near Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, which drew attention to an upcoming event.

  • Previous Detroit concert: October 2018 at Little Caesars Arena
  • Cancelled concert: May 2020 at Saint Andrews Hall due to the pandemic
  • Recent album release: “But Here We Are” in 2023

Recent Engagement with Fans

Last week, the Foo Fighters also engaged their fans on social media by sharing an image of a bird in front of their logo with the caption “About to take flight…” The concert at Ford Field is expected to be the band’s largest performance in Michigan thus far.

Although the Foo Fighters toured the U.S. in 2024, the band did not make a stop in Detroit. This upcoming event is set to mark a significant return to the city for the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers.
