Country Star Dominates Iconic Strip Venue in Remarkable Fashion

Country music star Luke Combs is set to co-headline a new entertainment venture on the Las Vegas Strip alongside Blake Shelton. Combs has partnered with Opry Entertainment Group to establish a Category 10 venue at the former site of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, which closed in April 2024. The grand opening is scheduled for fall 2026.

Luke Combs and his Category 10 Venue

The Las Vegas Category 10 will be the second location for this brand, which has found success in downtown Nashville. The name of the venue is inspired by Combs’ hit song “Hurricane.” Combs recently announced his upcoming “My Kinda Saturday Night” tour with a concert at Allegiant Stadium on March 21.

Unique Features of the Venue

Plans for the 34,000-square-foot venue include several exciting features:

  • Hurricane Hall: This main dining hall will include three bars, a central stage, and a dance floor. It will host artists daily, offering an immersive concert experience.
  • Beautiful Crazy Women’s Lounge: Located within the women’s restroom on the first floor, it will feature a champagne bar and soft seating.
  • The Still: Found on the second floor, this area will offer a curated selection of bourbons chosen by Combs, along with an outdoor patio with city views.
  • The Eye Rooftop: The rooftop will boast a DJ booth, dance floor, and a bar overlooking the Strip.

Strategic Location and Future Plans

The partnership with Caesars Entertainment aims to enhance the entertainment landscape of the Strip. Opry Entertainment Group has successfully operated Shelton’s Ole Red location, contributing to the country music scene. Colin Reed, CEO of Ryman Hospitality Properties, expressed excitement about expanding into Las Vegas, citing the city’s appeal to international visitors, particularly from the UK.

Combs’ international popularity, along with the increasing embrace of country music globally, makes this extension timely. This new venture is expected to attract both local and international fans to experience country music in an iconic setting.

Additional Developments on the Strip

As Category 10 takes shape, Caesars Entertainment is also undergoing renovations at the Flamingo. This includes the relaunch of Go Pool and recent openings of several restaurant concepts. The addition of Combs’ venue aims to further elevate the vibrant atmosphere at Flamingo Las Vegas.

Luke Combs’ foray into the hospitality and entertainment world marks a significant step in bringing more country music experiences to Las Vegas. As preparations for Category 10 unfold, fans eagerly anticipate a unique destination on the Strip.
