The Legacy of the Awards

Founded in 2015 by photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE and Tom Sullam, the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards aim to merge wildlife photography with humor. The initiative also raises funds for wildlife conservation. Partnering with the Whitley Fund for Nature (WFN), the awards have helped distribute over £24 million to conservation efforts in 80 countries.

Tom Sullam expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting how it has expanded awareness of animal conservation globally. The winning photographs will be exhibited at the Gallery@Oxo in London from December 10-14, and a People’s Choice Award will open for voting on December 10, closing on March 12, 2026.
