S&P/TSX and U.S. Stock Market Performance

The S&P/TSX composite index rose by 205.51 points, reaching a total of 30,391.79. Meanwhile, in New York:

  • Dow Jones Industrial Average: Increased by 479.76 points to 47,214.37

Currency and Commodity Updates

The Canadian dollar was trading at 71.32 cents against the U.S. dollar, a slight decrease from Thursday’s rate of 71.46 cents.
