The drone strikes began around 2:35 AM local time, resulting in multiple explosions across the capital. According to reports, Russia launched a total of 101 drones, including the Shahed and Gerbera models. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted 90 of these drones.

Damage to Residential Buildings

President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attacks, highlighting the increased number of assaults on Ukrainian cities this week. He noted that more than 50 missiles and nearly 1,200 drones have been launched against Ukraine recently.
Zelensky stated, “These are attacks on residential buildings, on our people, on children, on civilian infrastructure. These are the most important targets for the Russians.”
