Salvation Army Enrolls Students in Fayetteville After-School Program
The Salvation Army of the Sandhills has announced that registration is now open for its after-school program in Fayetteville. Running Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., the program serves students in grades one through eight.
Program Details
This after-school initiative aims to create a safe and structured environment for young learners. There are 75 slots filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fee is $25 per child, with a weekly cost of $60. A sibling discount is available for families enrolling more than one child.

Transportation Options
The program offers transportation for children from Walker Spivey Elementary School and Lucile Souders Elementary School. However, spots on the bus are limited to 13 children. Walker Spivey school bus delivers students directly to the Salvation Army where the program is held.

Angel Tree Program Applications
In addition to the after-school program, the Salvation Army is accepting applications for its 2025 Angel Tree Program until October 31. Families looking for Christmas assistance for children aged 17 and younger can apply online at saangeltree.org. When applying, families need to provide:
- Proof of ID for all adults in the household
- Birth certificates or Medicaid cards for each child
- Proof of income and expenses for everyone in the household
