Key Initiatives for Sustainability

  • Tote-Bag Recycling: From October 27 to November 18, customers can drop off reusable tote-bags at participating locations. These bags will be cleaned, stamped, and redistributed in December, reducing the reliance on single-use options.
  • Window Blackout: Throughout November, stores will switch off their lights after 7:30 PM to conserve energy. The initiative aims to reduce collective energy consumption, with savings calculated post-event.
  • Solidarity Collection: From November 17 to 21, donations for students at the University of Burgundy-Europe will be collected. This includes warm clothing, household items, and art materials.

Participating Merchants

Notable participants in these initiatives include:

  • Bodysano
  • CAMARA Dijon
  • Comptoir du Japon
  • Cyliena Maroquinerie
  • Eat Salad
  • Le Magasin Moderne
  • NOMAD Hôtel Dijon
  • Subway Dijon Gare
  • Voyage Conseil Bourgogne

Community Involvement

The events not only support environmental goals but also foster community spirit. Locals are encouraged to participate in the solidarity collection, and contributors will receive a €5 gift voucher for every 5 kg of donations.

These actions highlight Dijon’s commitment to fostering a more sustainable and supportive local economy. Through joint efforts, the merchants aim to demonstrate that ecological responsibility and economic viability can coexist harmoniously.
