Transforming Pediatric Healthcare with a $50 Million Gift

The announcement was made on October 28, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky. Golisano’s donation is the largest gift in the history of UK HealthCare and ranks as the second-largest gift to the University of Kentucky.

As the founder of Paychex, the most extensive human resources company for small to medium-sized businesses in the United States, Golisano’s contributions exceed $1 billion throughout his philanthropic career.

Additionally, the Richmond Road facility will adopt the name Golisano Children’s at UK – Richmond Road, while the affiliate network will be designated as Golisano Children’s at UK – Affiliate Network.

New Developments at Kentucky Children’s Hospital

The Kentucky Children’s Hospital has been a beacon of pediatric care since its inception as UK Children’s Hospital in 1997. Following its rebranding in 2005, it has expanded to include over 210 beds and numerous specialty programs.
