Ausberry, a native of New Iberia and an LSU alumnus, has a long history with the university. He has been associated with Louisiana State University since 1991 in various capacities. His new role as Interim Director includes overseeing the athletic department and leading the search for the next head football coach.

  • Career: Ausberry joined LSU as a compliance intern in 1991 and has served in several areas over his 30-plus year career.
  • Notable Roles: Promoted to Executive Deputy Athletic Director in 2019, he also oversees external relations.

Ausberry has a deep personal connection to LSU, having arrived as a student-athlete in 1985. He is married to Cheri Morial, and they have two sons, both Division I football athletes. Their son, Austin, is currently a redshirt junior safety at LSU.
