NIFL Confirms Rearranged Irish Premiership Fixtures
The NI Football League (NIFL) has officially announced the rearrangement of several fixtures in the Irish Premiership. This decision follows recent match cancellations due to adverse incidents, including an abandonment caused by a serious injury.
Injury Incident and Fixture Rescheduling
One notable incident involved Carrick Rangers’ player Paul Heatley, who sustained a serious head injury during his team’s match against Bangor on Saturday, 13 September. Heatley, 38, suffered a concussion and a head wound after colliding with a perimeter wall. Fortunately, he has since resumed play for Carrick Rangers.
