Daisy Edgar-Jones and Emilia Jones are set to star in “Bad Bridgets,” a project produced by LuckyChap Entertainment. This film marks the second feature directed by Rich Peppiatt, who received a BAFTA for his debut film “Kneecap.”

Rich Peppiatt will both write and direct “Bad Bridgets.” FilmNation has joined the project for sales, with plans to present it at the upcoming American Film Market. WME Independent is representing the film for U.S. distribution.
Creative Inspiration
The script is based on the book “Bad Bridget: Crime, Mayhem, and the Lives of Irish Emigrant Women,” authored by Elaine Farrell and Leanne McCormick. Development was supported by Queens University in Belfast.
Plot Overview
The narrative follows a young woman’s perilous journey from famine-stricken Ireland to 19th-century New York, triggered by a mysterious letter. She joins a group of Irish women, referred to as “Bridgets,” who create chaos in the city.

Filming for “Bad Bridgets” is scheduled to occur in Northern Ireland and Ireland in spring 2026. Key creative talents involved include Oscar-winning production designer James Price and costume designer Kate Hawley.
