On the evening of the intended performance, T’Pau was set to entertain fans at Club 85. However, disaster struck when band member Pete Faint was robbed at a service station on the M25. Faint had briefly parked at South Mimms and locked his car. Unfortunately, upon returning, he discovered that crucial band equipment had been stolen.
