Doreen Assaad Re-elected as Brossard Mayor

Doreen Assaad has been re-elected as the Mayor of Brossard, a city situated on the South Shore of Montreal. Following her victory announcement, she expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the citizens for their trust. “They have chosen to rely on our experience and our outstanding team,” said Assaad.

Doreen Assaad’s Victory in Brossard

Assaad secured over 82% of the vote, overwhelmingly defeating her opponent, Hanadi Saad, by more than 64 percentage points. This election sees a continued endorsement of her leadership, as 64,554 voters in Montérégie reaffirmed their support for her tenure, which began in 2017.

Opposing Campaign Promises

During the campaign, Saad, representing the Vision Brossard party, emphasized the need for public safety. She proposed establishing a municipal patrol team to monitor the streets. “For us, the priority is a municipal security brigade that would operate around the clock throughout Brossard to ensure prevention,” Saad stated.

In contrast, Assaad dismissed this approach. She highlighted the planned addition of a new police station in the area within three years. Currently, the safety of Brossard’s residents is managed by the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service.

Future Goals and Promises

  • Maintaining some of the lowest taxes in Quebec.
  • Focusing on environmental issues and road safety.
  • Continuing to enhance security measures across Brossard.

Assaad referred to her re-election as an incredible gain for the city. She feels that residents have recognized her efforts to ensure their safety. “The citizens have seen and understood that this will guarantee their security,” she commented.

With unbridled enthusiasm, Assaad aims to put Brossard on the map, declaring her commitment to fulfilling her promises while prioritizing the well-being of her constituents.
