Bishkek Police Arrest Drug Ring Involving Local Official
Authorities in Bishkek have disrupted a significant drug trafficking operation, leading to the arrest of two suspects. This operation was carried out by the Main Department for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
Key Details of the Drug Bust
The arrests occurred on October 28, 2025. The detained individuals are Zh.A.M., aged 48, and I.E., aged 40. Notably, one of the suspects holds a position within the Oktyabrsky district administration of Bishkek.
Seizure of Substances
During a search of their residence, law enforcement officers discovered a substantial quantity of illegal drugs. The items seized included:
- Hashish
- Marijuana
The drugs were reportedly hidden carefully within the premises. Following the seizure, forensic chemical analyses have been initiated to ascertain the precise composition and quantity of the substances involved.
