Packers Add Two New Players to Active Roster
The Green Bay Packers made significant roster adjustments this week. Following the decision to place tight end Tucker Kraft on injured reserve, they signed two players from the practice squad: defensive lineman Arron Mosby and tight end Josh Whyle. Additionally, four more players were signed to the practice squad, while one was released.

Profile of New Players
Arron Mosby has been on the Packers’ practice squad since the start of the season. He made three game-day appearances and contributed two tackles on special teams. In the previous season, Mosby played 16 games and recorded a total of eight tackles.
Josh Whyle, a tight end from the University of Cincinnati, joined Green Bay’s practice squad after training camp. Originally drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2023, Whyle tallied 37 receptions for 342 yards and two touchdowns in his first two seasons.
Details on Practice Squad Additions
Newly signed McCallan Castles is a first-year player from the University of Tennessee. He had previously signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. Castles recorded 1,226 yards and 14 touchdowns during his college career.
Drake Dabney, a rookie out of TCU, also joins the practice squad. Previously undrafted by the Tennessee Titans, Dabney had notable collegiate statistics, including 65 receptions for 873 yards and eight touchdowns over four seasons at Baylor before transferring to TCU.
Kristian Welch, a seasoned player from the University of Iowa, was briefly on the active roster before being released. He has extensive experience in the NFL, having played in 73 regular-season games.
Lastly, Michael Woods II joins as a third-year player out of the University of Oklahoma. Drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2022, he recorded 12 receptions for 110 yards last season.
