LONGi Green Energy Technology has achieved significant sales milestones in the solar sector for the first three quarters of 2025. The company reported cumulative external shipments of solar cells and modules reaching 63.43 GW from January to September.

Significant Shipments and Product Innovations

This total includes 14.48 GW of advanced back contact (BC) modules, which utilize LONGi’s cutting-edge Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) 2.0 technology. In the first half of 2025, the company shipped 39.57 GW of modules, contributing to an overall cell and module shipment total of 41.85 GW. Meanwhile, silicon wafer shipments stood at 52.08 GW, with 24.72 GW sold externally.

Quarterly Performance Overview

For the third quarter of 2025, LONGi’s estimated cell and module shipments reached 21.58 GW. The company noted a remarkable 24% year-on-year growth in module shipments during the first nine months of 2025, compared to 51.23 GW during the same period in 2024, which included 13.77 GW of BC modules.

Financial Results and Market Trends

Despite these impressive shipment numbers, LONGi reported a total operating revenue of RMB 18.1 billion for Q3 2025. This marks a 9.8% year-on-year decline and a 5.5% quarter-on-quarter decrease. The company posted a net loss of RMB 834 million, although this is a reduction from RMB 1.2 billion in Q3 2024.

The total revenue for the first nine months of 2025 amounted to RMB 50.9 billion, reflecting a 13.1% year-on-year decrease from RMB 58.6 billion during the same period in 2024. The net loss for this period was RMB 3.4 billion, improved from the RMB 6.5 billion loss reported last year.

Market Insights and Future Plans

LONGi attributes its growth to high demand for its efficient product lineup, strong global presence, and brand reputation. The company emphasizes a customer-focused strategy alongside enhanced management processes, cost control, and cash flow management.

Management stated that China represented 55% of its BC sales, with international markets contributing about 45%. To bolster its global presence, LONGi plans to increase sales of its back contact products in Europe.
