This eagerly anticipated tour will commence on February 28, 2024, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and conclude on July 2, 2024, in Laredo, Texas. The band has confirmed 60 tour dates across North America, primarily targeting secondary and tertiary markets.

Tour Highlights

Neal Schon, the founding member of Journey, expressed gratitude to the fans, stating that this tour represents a heartfelt thank you. He emphasized the importance of this tour as a celebration of their musical journey together. “We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production featuring our hits and deep cuts,” Schon noted.

Alongside Schon, longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain shared his reflections, highlighting the incredible experience of sharing music with millions. “This tour is about gratitude and connection, offering one last opportunity to feel that magic,” Cain added. They will also be joined by singer Arnel Pineda, who has been with the band since 2007 and cherishes the chance to contribute to this musical legacy.

Legacy and Challenges

Throughout their career, Journey faced various challenges, including lineup changes and legal disputes. They experienced an extended hiatus in 1987 and had a brief reunion in 1996. The band regained momentum in 1998 with new vocalist Steven Augeri, and subsequently, Arnel Pineda was discovered through YouTube in 2007, joining as the lead singer.

Despite internal conflicts and lineup adjustments, Journey continued to maintain a touring presence, often sharing stages with bands like Def Leppard and Heart. However, their activity diminished in recent years, with only a handful of performances in 2023 before the announcement of their farewell tour.

Looking Ahead

This farewell tour is more than a concluding chapter; it symbolizes a transition for the band. Neal Schon assured fans that while this marks the end of a significant period, he is far from finished with music. “I want everyone to know I’m not done. Music is still burning strong inside me,” he stated, hinting at new creative ventures beyond the tour.

With anticipation building around the “Final Frontier” tour, Journey aims to deliver a memorable experience, filled with heartfelt performances that pay tribute to their storied legacy and dedicated fans.
