Canada Unveils Hockey Jersey for Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games
As the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games draw closer, excitement is building in Canada for the upcoming hockey tournaments. This year marks a significant milestone—the return of NHL players to the Olympics for the first time since the Sochi 2014 Games.
Team Canada Lineup for Milano Cortina 2026
Six players have already been confirmed for Team Canada’s men’s hockey team, which promises to deliver thrilling performances. The announced athletes include:
- Sidney Crosby
- Connor McDavid
- Cale Makar
- Nathan MacKinnon
- Sam Reinhart
- Brayden Point
Among these players, Crosby is the only one with Olympic experience, having previously competed at Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014. The remaining roster members will be unveiled in January.
Women’s Team Dominance
On the women’s side, Team Canada has consistently showcased its strength in Olympic hockey. Since women’s hockey was introduced in the Nagano 1998 Games, Canada has never failed to secure a medal. Currently, they are the reigning champions, having triumphed at Beijing 2022.
During those games, Team Captain Marie-Philip Poulin made history by becoming the first player to score in four Olympic gold medal matches. The women’s roster is also set to be announced in January.
Milano Cortina 2026 Jersey Design
Excitement grew recently with the unveiling of the Milano Cortina 2026 hockey jersey design during a Rivalry Series matchup between the Canadian and American women’s teams. Team Canada will sport two jersey styles during the Games:
- White Jersey: Features a multi-toned red maple leaf crest, red stripes on the arms and bottom, and red numbers.
- Red Jersey: Showcases a multi-shade black maple leaf crest, black stripes, and white numbers.
The bold maple leaf design symbolizes resilience and brilliance, reflecting Canada’s dedication to the sport.
Jersey Sales and Impact
Beginning at 10 a.m. ET on November 7, fans can purchase replica jerseys through Hockey Canada. A portion of the sales proceeds will be reinvested in winter sports development throughout the country. Shortly after, named and numbered jerseys for select players will be made available in early December.
Canada’s Olympic Hockey Legacy
Canada stands as the most successful nation in Olympic hockey history, with 23 medals, including 14 golds. As the Milano Cortina 2026 Games approach, Team Canada is poised to make a strong statement on the ice.
