According to the Istanbul Planning Agency (İPA), living costs in Istanbul have surpassed 100,000 Lira as of October 2025. A recent report indicates that the average monthly expenses for a family of four have reached 104,927 Lira.

This year has seen a significant upward trend in expenses. At the start of 2025, in January, the living cost was recorded at 82,880 Lira. Consequently, the increase over the first ten months of the year is calculated at 26.6%.
