Musical Composition and Themes

“Lux” contains 15 tracks, blending various musical styles. Rosalía incorporates strings, chanting, and rich imagery as she navigates themes of love, loss, and materialism. The album opens with the lead single “Berghain,” featuring notable collaborations with Björk and Yves Tumor.

One standout track, “Sexo, Violencia y Llantas” (translated as “Sex, Violence, and Tires”), sees Rosalía collaborating with the London Symphony Orchestra. Throughout the song, she expresses her desire for spiritual transcendence.

The song “La Perla” juxtaposes deep feelings of betrayal with sharp lyrics, showcasing her emotional turmoil. Meanwhile, “Sauvignon Blanc” features a promise of self-sacrifice in the pursuit of true love, highlighting the contrast between material wealth and emotional fulfillment.

Physical vs. Digital Releases

The physical copy of “Lux” includes three additional tracks: “Focu ‘ranni,” “Jeanne,” and “Novia Robot.” However, these songs are absent from the digital version. Rosalía has not explained this discrepancy, but fans hope to see these tracks available for streaming soon.

Rosalía will further promote “Lux” with a performance on The Tonight Show scheduled for November 16, adding to the anticipation surrounding her latest work. As she continues to innovate, listeners are encouraged to explore the new depths of her artistry.
