Luke Littler, World No 2, Admits to Nervousness from Motorway Photographer Pursuit

Luke Littler, the rising darts star and current World No. 2, has recently shared his experience of feeling anxious after being followed by photographers. This unsettling incident occurred just two days after he successfully passed his driving test.

Nervous Encounter on the Motorway

Littler was on his way to visit his girlfriend when he noticed paparazzi trailing him on the motorway. He recounted, “I was getting followed on Wednesday. I made the latest exit you could possibly make on a motorway. I came off so late, and so did he.” He described making several U-turns, but the photographer remained persistent.

The 18-year-old admitted, “I was shaking and nervous. I had been driving for two days and getting followed on a motorway.” This unexpected pressure compounded on him, considering his very recent transition to driving.

Social Media Strategy

To address the situation and deter the photographer from profiting, Littler took to Instagram where he posted a picture of his new BMW along with his driving certificate. His post featured the caption, “Get innn, first time and 0 minors.”

He later explained, “That’s why I posted the car so he couldn’t sell his pictures. I know it’s their job, but following me on the motorway, it’s dead busy, and I was nervous. So yeah, that’s why I posted the car so he couldn’t do nothing about it.”

Looking Ahead: Grand Slam of Darts

As Littler prepares to participate in the Grand Slam of Darts, his focus now shifts away from the chaotic encounter. The tournament kicks off on Saturday afternoon in Wolverhampton, with coverage available live on Sky Sports.

Having secured the title last year, Littler aims to reclaim it and earn the top position in the PDC Order of Merit, overtaking Luke Humphries.
