Interscope, Island Dominate 2026 Grammy Nominations by Record Label
The 2026 Grammy nominations were revealed on November 7, featuring notable artists such as Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, and Lady Gaga. In a remarkable showcase, Interscope garnered the highest number of nominations among all record labels.
Interscope and Island Records Excel in Nominations
Interscope led the Big Four categories with eight nominations out of 32, significantly boosting Universal Music Group’s (UMG) total to 21. The record label’s collection of accolades includes:
- Billie Eilish: Record and Song of the Year
- Kendrick Lamar: Record, Song, and Album of the Year
- Lady Gaga: Record, Song, and Album of the Year
Interscope’s success can also be attributed to the nominations received by its subsidiaries. Including nominations from Capitol, Motown, and HYBE/Geffen, Interscope’s overall tally rose to 13 in the four major categories.
Island Records Shines Again
Island Records came in second with six nominations. They celebrated notable achievements this year:
- Two Best New Artist nominees: Olivia Dean and Lola Young
- Additional nominations for Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan, both of whom had nominations in all major categories last year
Sabrina Carpenter has now achieved back-to-back Album of the Year nominations, a rare feat matched only by Taylor Swift since the award categories expanded in 2019.
Other Notable Performances
Atlantic Records secured several nominations, including:
- Song and Record nominations for ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ “APT.”
- Best New Artist nominations for Alex Warren and The Marías
