Directed by Erik Griffin, a close friend of Rife’s, the special was filmed in Phoenix, Arizona. Rife took on the role of executive producer, collaborating with Christina Shams on the project. His production company, Carpe Noctem, teamed up with Avesta Entertainment and Above Average for this holiday-themed crowd work special.
Previous Success
This marks Rife’s third consecutive special for Netflix, following Matt Rife: Natural Selection and Matt Rife: Lucid — A Crowd Work Special. The first of these, released on November 15, 2023, achieved notable success, ranking in the Top 10 across 42 countries. It took the top position in the U.S., Canada, and South Africa, becoming the most-watched Netflix special in the latter half of 2023. In addition to this, Rife secured a deal for two more specials and a series in which he will write and star.
