The first incident took place around 17:15 GMT on the M25. Three lanes were shut on the anti-clockwise carriageway between:

  • Junction 25 for Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire

This crash involved at least seven vehicles, according to reports from National Highways.

Additional Collision on the M1

A separate crash occurred soon afterward on the M1 in Hertfordshire. This incident involved at least four vehicles and took place between junctions eight and nine near Hemel Hempstead. The fire service promptly arrived to manage the situation.
