Maoyan Movie’s “Her Turn” ranked third this weekend, adding $2.1 million to reach a cumulative total of $8.9 million after two weeks. The thriller, directed by Cheng Yanan, features a wheelchair-bound woman uncovering dark family secrets.
“The Sun Rises On Us All,” a romantic drama directed by Cai Shangjun, debuted in fourth place with $1.8 million. Star Xin Zhilei recently won the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival for her role in this emotional narrative.
