Jet2, the UK’s leading tour operator, has announced the launch of flights and holiday packages from Gatwick Airport. This significant move will create over 300 new jobs in the local area and marks Gatwick as the 14th airport in the UK to host Jet2 services.

New Flights and Destinations

The airline has secured slots for six aircraft, including five Airbus A321neo jets stationed at the West Sussex airport, with one additional aircraft based overseas. The first flight from Gatwick is scheduled to take off for Tenerife, Spain, on March 26, 2026.

Steve Heapy, the Chief Executive of Jet2, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the new operations. He stated, “This announcement is a unique opportunity for Jet2 to expand from Gatwick, the UK’s largest leisure airport.”
