Major Drug Seizure Uncovered in Cobourg
Authorities conducted a significant drug seizure in Cobourg on November 13 and 14, 2025. This operation was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the area. The Cobourg Police Service, in collaboration with the Port Hope Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence on Margaret Street and a unit at 310 Division Street.
Drug Trafficking Arrests Made
As a result of the investigation, two individuals were charged:
- Cory KEERS, 39 years old
- Llewellyn DOWLE, 35 years old
Charges Filed Against Suspects
Both suspects face numerous charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Criminal Code. Key charges include:
- Possession for trafficking of fentanyl
- Possession for trafficking of cocaine
- Possession for trafficking of methamphetamine
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000
- Production of fentanyl
Cory KEERS also faces additional charges for possession of morphine, oxycodone, and psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking.
Seized Drugs and Estimated Value
During the raids, law enforcement officials seized various controlled substances:
- 472 grams of fentanyl
- 30 grams of cocaine
- 46 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- 12 grams of morphine
- Oxycodone tablets
- 40 grams of psilocybin
In total, the estimated street value of the drugs seized amounts to approximately $320,000. Officers also recovered Canadian currency, multiple cellphones, and various packaging and cooking materials used in drug production.

Both individuals were taken into custody and are scheduled for a bail hearing later today. The investigation into drug trafficking in Cobourg remains ongoing. Authorities are dedicated to eradicating drug-related activities and ensuring community safety.
