Buffalo Bills Release Injury Report Ahead of Tampa Bay Buccaneers Matchup

As the Buffalo Bills prepare for their Week 11 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head coach Sean McDermott has provided updates on player injuries. Two key players have been officially ruled out for Sunday’s game.

Injury Report Overview

Dalton Kincaid, the team’s tight end, will not play due to a hamstring injury. Kincaid is the second-highest receiver on the team, boasting 448 yards and leading with four touchdown receptions.

Defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis has also been ruled out because of a shoulder injury. This season, Mathis has participated in three games, recording three tackles.

Player Conditions and Expectations

Wide receiver Khalil Shakir is dealing with ankle and rib injuries but remains hopeful for the game. He leads the Bills with 457 receiving yards. Coach McDermott stated, “He’s heading in the right direction. Should be in a good spot for the game.” Shakir was limited to a red non-contact jersey during earlier practices but is expected to participate fully on Friday.

Another player of note is defensive back Cam Lewis, who has been limited this week due to a calf injury. McDermott mentioned that Lewis will also have restrictions during Friday’s practice. Similarly, cornerback Taron Johnson will be limited on Friday as well.

Positive Trends for the Roster

Despite injuries, other players have shown positive progress. Cornerback Christian Benford, defensive end A.J. Epenesa, defensive tackle T.J. Sanders, linebacker Shaq Thompson, and wide receiver Joshua Palmer participated fully in Thursday’s practice.

The Bills will release a final injury report following Friday’s practice, which will provide clarity as they head into their game against Tampa Bay.
