Unlocking the Pack-a-Punch in Ashes of the Damned
To begin your adventure, spawn in Janus Towers Plaza. Your first objective is to unlock the Server Room.
Step 1: Investigate the Server Room
- The Server Room door requires 1,250 Essence to unlock.
- Farm zombies to gather enough Essence.
- After gaining access, melee a grate to find T.E.D.D.’s Head, the first key item.
Once you’ve secured T.E.D.D.’s Head, proceed to find Ol’ Tessie, your mobile upgrade station.
Step 2: Drive to Blackwater Lake
- Enter the truck and head left towards Blackwater Lake.
- Avoid special zombies that attack while driving.
- Steer clear of the orange explosive clusters on the road; seek out yellow clusters for health boosts.
Step 3: Restore Power at Blackwater Lake
Upon arriving at Blackwater Lake, exit Tessie and follow the quest marker to the Power Pump. This task requires urgency as it comes with a strict 30-second timer.
- Fire at the pump to start the timer.
- Destroy the surrounding infestation clusters quickly.
- Focus on the final large cluster to succeed.
After clearing the pump, head into the cabin to restore power by paying 1,750 Essence.
Step 4: Drive to Ashwood
Reboard Tessie and navigate to the Ashwood zone. Look out for the several markers that guide your next steps upon arrival.
- Exit the truck and locate a zipline leading upward.
- Unlock the door costing 1,000 Essence and clear floating debris for 1,750 Essence.
- Prepare for another Power Pump restoration challenge.
Step 5: Restore Power at Ashwood
Once again, you must clear the Power Pump to activate power. After completion, find the opening on your right to swiftly return to Tessie.
Step 6: Install the Pack-a-Punch
Park Tessie inside the garage. A marker will guide you to the nearby bench where you can install the Pack-a-Punch. This upgrade provides invaluable weapon enhancements.
Congratulations! You now have a mobile Pack-a-Punch available whenever Tessie is on the field. This feature not only enhances your weaponry but also improves Tessie’s speed, aiding your escape from perilous situations.
