Undrafted Guelph Storm Captain Debuts in NHL with Vegas
Former Guelph Storm captain Braeden Bowman has made his NHL debut with the Vegas Golden Knights at the age of 22. This achievement marks a significant milestone in his hockey career after going undrafted in three NHL drafts.
Bowman’s Journey from OHL to NHL
Braeden Bowman, who hails from Kitchener, Ontario, led the Guelph Storm in the 2023-24 season. He participated in all 68 regular-season games, scoring a team-high of 37 goals and accumulating 71 points, ranking second overall on the team.
Overcoming the Odds
Despite facing challenges in the NHL draft process, Bowman remained dedicated to his craft as a power forward. His determination paid off after graduating from the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) when he signed with the Henderson Silver Knights, an American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Golden Knights.
