TfL Lines Closing This Weekend: London Underground Included

This weekend, London’s transport system will experience significant disruptions. Scheduled maintenance will affect various lines across the Tube, Overground, DLR, and Elizabeth Line from November 15 to November 16. Passengers should plan ahead, as many routes will be impacted, particularly in North and West London.

TfL Lines Closing This Weekend

Network Rail and Transport for London (TfL) have announced key closures that will affect travel to and from several stations. Key areas impacted include:

  • Hillingdon
  • Harrow
  • Ealing
  • Camden

London Underground Closures

The Tube services will see the following closures:

  • Metropolitan Line: No service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge, November 15-16.
  • Piccadilly Line: No service between Acton Town and Uxbridge, November 15-16.

London Overground Closures

Changes will also affect the Overground services:

  • Mildmay Line: No service between Gospel Oak and Richmond/Shepherd’s Bush, November 15-16.
  • No service between Camden Road and Stratford after 10:15 PM on November 16.
  • Windrush Line: No service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction on November 16; rail replacement buses will operate between Canada Water and Clapham Junction.
  • No service between Highbury & Islington and Dalston Junction after 10:15 PM on November 16.

DLR and Elizabeth Line Closures

Additionally, the DLR and Elizabeth Line will also face interruptions:

  • DLR: No service between Canning Town and Stratford International, November 15-16.
  • Elizabeth Line:
    • No service between Paddington and Abbey Wood/Stratford, November 15-16.
    • No service between Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow Airport; limited service only between Paddington and Maidenhead.

Travelers heading to Heathrow are encouraged to utilize the Piccadilly Line to reach their destination with minimal disruption. Despite these closures, alternative transportation methods, including local bus services and rail replacement buses, will be in place to assist passengers during this period.
