Unesp Announces 729 Enem Access Openings for 2026

Unesp (Universidade Estadual Paulista) is set to introduce exclusive access through the Enem for the first time. A total of 729 openings will be available across 23 cities for the 2026 academic year. These positions do not require entrance exams that assess specific skills, enhancing university accessibility.

Key Details of the Unesp Enem Openings

The application period for prospective students runs from November 24 to January 19, exclusively through the Vunesp website. The application fee is set at R$ 20. However, candidates may request a fee waiver or a 50% reduction from November 17 to 23.

Reserved Openings and Eligibility

  • 397 openings are reserved for applicants who completed their high school education in public schools.
  • 35% of these reserved slots are aimed at candidates self-identifying as black, brown, or indigenous.

Professor Renato Eugênio da Silva Diniz, the academic superintendent at Fundação Vunesp, emphasized the importance of this initiative. He stated that the Unesp-Enem selection process represents a significant step in expanding entry pathways to higher education, providing opportunities for millions who took the Enem in 2024 and 2025.
