About the 2025 MICHELIN Guide

This year marks a significant milestone. For the first time, Philadelphia joins Boston in the Northeast Guide, alongside renowned culinary destinations like New York, Washington D.C., and Chicago.

The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted the event at Marion Anderson Hall in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. This gathering brought together top chefs, local restaurant owners, and culinary enthusiasts.

Receiving a Michelin Star is one of the highest accolades in the restaurant industry. A one-star rating indicates “High Quality – Worth A Stop!” Two stars denote “Excellent Cooking – Worth A Detour!” The rare third star signifies “Exceptional Cuisine – Worth A Special Journey!”

Tonight’s live stream provided viewers an opportunity to witness the excitement of the ceremony. The event began at 7:15 PM, engaging both those present and viewers watching from home.
