Vlassis Makes MAPWC First Team; Four Revolutionaries Honored as All-Conference
The Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) has announced its 2025 All-Conference Awards, highlighting outstanding performances by players from George Washington University (GW). The honors include recognition for senior utility Adonis Vlassis, who has been named to the All-Conference First Team.
Adonis Vlassis Shines in His Senior Year
Adonis Vlassis, hailing from Athens, Greece, has had a remarkable season. This year marks his second consecutive selection to the All-Conference First Team.

Vlassis leads the team into the conference championship, closely approaching GW’s single-season records of 124 goals and 185 points.
Recognition for Other Key Players
Joining Vlassis in recognition are three additional players from GW. Sophomore attacker Antonio Florena has been named to the All-Conference Second Team. Florena, originally from Napoli, Italy, finished the regular season with:

This is Florena’s second MAWPC All-Conference accolade, having previously earned an Honorable Mention last year.

Graduate goalkeeper Vasilije Marinkovic and first-year center Andrea Forno have also received honors. Marinkovic, from Kotor, Montenegro, garnered his first All-Conference award after making:
