Wisconsin Woman Cuts Bracelet, Leaves Home After Slender Man Stabbing

A 22-year-old woman from Wisconsin, Morgan Geyser, has gone missing after cutting off her monitoring bracelet and leaving a group home. This incident has raised significant concerns among local authorities. Officials reported that she was last seen on Saturday night around Kroncke Drive, accompanied by an adult acquaintance.

Background of Morgan Geyser

Geyser gained notoriety in 2014 when she, along with accomplice Anissa Weier, was involved in a brutal stabbing incident. The victim, Payton Leutner, was lured to a park in Waukesha after a sleepover and was stabbed 19 times as part of a misguided attempt to please the fictional horror character Slender Man.

At the time of the attack, all three girls were just 12 years old. Geyser and Weier fled following the stabbing but were apprehended on Interstate 94. The girls believed that they needed to commit the crime to become Slender Man’s servants and feared for their families’ safety if they failed.

Legal Proceedings and Mental Health Treatment

In 2017, Morgan Geyser pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree intentional homicide, asserting that she was not mentally responsible for her actions. Subsequently, she was sentenced to 40 years at a psychiatric facility by Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren. Anissa Weier faced similar charges, receiving a 25-year commitment but was released in 2021 after meeting specific conditions.
