Unfortunately, the situation took a turn for the worse on the final play of the half. Mayfield attempted a Hail Mary pass that was intercepted by Emmanuel Forbes. After this throw, he appeared to be in considerable pain and made his way to the locker room, where he later returned in street clothes and a sling.
