Sean Combs Donates Thanksgiving Meals to Prison Inmates
Sean Combs recently organized Thanksgiving meals for fellow inmates at FCI Fort Dix, a federal correctional institution in New Jersey. Serving a four-year sentence, Combs collaborated with a group known as Bankroll Bosses to provide this special meal.
Thanksgiving Meals Initiative
Combs and his team purchased food from the prison commissary. Over two days, they prepared and distributed the meals to each housing unit within Fort Dix.
Meal Details

- Dessert
Due to limitations in the prison kitchen, they had to improvise. ID cards served as cutting tools since there were no stoves or microwaves available.
Meaning of Thanksgiving
Combs expressed the significance of giving during the holiday. He stated, “Thanksgiving, to me, is about making sure other people eat.” He emphasized that the season can be tough for those separated from their families, leading to feelings of depression.
Combs’ Sentencing and Reflection
Combs was transferred to Fort Dix in October after being convicted of two counts of violating the Mann Act. His sentence also includes a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.
Reflecting on his experience, Combs remarked, “There’s a lot of misinterpretations about prison. There is a strong brotherhood. We all look out for each other.” He believes that moments like these create a sense of home in a challenging environment.
