Melania Trump Transforms White House for Christmas 2025 Decorations
Christmas 2025 at the White House has been transformed by First Lady Melania Trump, embodying themes of generosity, patriotism, and gratitude. This year’s decorations focus on the theme “Home is Where the Heart Is.” Notable features include unique Lego portraits of George Washington and Donald Trump displayed in the Green Room, which has been cheerfully converted into a game room.
Signature Christmas Tree and Decorations
The White House Christmas tree, which stands at over 18 feet, arrived via horse-drawn carriage and is situated in the Blue Room. Sourced from Korson’s Tree Farms in Sidney, Michigan, this concolor fir honors Gold Star Families with 2,800 gold stars and ornaments representing each state’s official bird and flower. In total, 51 trees adorn various rooms in the White House.
Celebrating the Nation’s 250th Anniversary
This year’s decorations also honor military families and commemorate the country’s upcoming 250th anniversary in 2026. A special focus on patriotic elements is visible throughout, particularly in the East Room, which showcases colors and symbols reflective of the American flag.
Innovative Displays and Initiatives
- Lego puzzles portray past and present presidents, each comprising over 6,000 pieces.
- The Red Room features more than 10,000 hand-painted butterflies, symbolizing Melania Trump’s Fostering the Future initiative.
- A portion of the White House crèche, illustrating the nativity scene, is displayed in the Grand Foyer.
Public Tours and Accessibility
Public tours will commence on December 2, allowing thousands of visitors to experience the festive decorations. However, tours have been slightly adjusted due to the recent demolition of the East Wing to facilitate a new $300 million ballroom. Visitors will access an updated route, entering through the North Portico instead of the East Wing.
This year’s Christmas decorations at the White House illustrate both a festive spirit and a recognition of America’s values and future, intertwining personal touch with national pride.
