Dave Coulier Faces New Cancer Diagnosis

Dave Coulier, known for his role as Uncle Joey in Full House, has announced a new cancer diagnosis. After successfully battling non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year, Coulier learned that he has been diagnosed with P16 squamous carcinoma.

Diagnosis and Treatment Plan

The cancer was discovered during a routine check-up in October. Doctors found the carcinoma at the base of his tongue. Starting immediately, Coulier will undergo 35 rounds of radiation therapy, which is set to continue through December 31.

Background and Causes

According to Coulier, the cancer could be linked to a past HPV infection. “It’s possible it stemmed from having an HPV virus up to 30 years ago,” he stated. HPV is quite common and has the potential to lead to carcinoma over time.

Previous Health Battle

  • November 2022: Coulier diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
  • Underwent chemotherapy treatment.
  • March 2025: Announced cancer-free status.

Current Outlook

Coulier clarified that he will not require chemotherapy for his current condition. He explained, “Radiation doesn’t feel as aggressive, but there are still side effects.” Fortunately, early detection has played a crucial role in his recovery.

Hope and Awareness

Coulier emphasized the importance of regular health screenings. He noted that the current cancer has a 90% curability rate, reflecting on how early detection has saved his life multiple times. He urged fans to prioritize their health, encouraging them to get routine check-ups, colonoscopies, breast exams, and prostate exams.

Dave Coulier’s journey serves as a reminder of the power of early detection in combating cancer and promoting overall health awareness.
